The Black Pear Trust was incorporated in March 2014, ahead of the school conversion of Gorse Hill Community Primary School to become Hollymount School, Worcester on 1st June 2014. Following a length academy conversion process, Fairfield Community Primary School joined the trust on August 1st 2017 and became Carnforth School. On the 1st September 2019, St Georges C of E School became the third school to join the Trust.
